One day we are a child,
The next we are an adult,
Left wondering,
What happened?
Many of us arrive at adulthood,
Not knowing how we got there,
Or what is expected of us,
Or what we should be doing.
Often living on automatic pilot,
Trying to get through one day to the next,
Not knowing how to deal with,
What is being thrown at us everyday.
Some of us having to juggle,
Being a parent, work commitments,
And in between,
Cooking, cleaning, breathing.
Being human is challenging,
Wondering if we are doing it right,
Often just faking it, till we make it,
We are all in the same boat.
No one knows for definite,
Nobody is privy to having it right,
We can all pretend we do,
We can all have our own philosophies.
We are all born of the same,
We all have a soul and a body,
We have no right to judge another,
Or make them wrong.
We have all come here,
To be human,
That means something different,
To everyone.
What we can do,
Is have compassion for ourselves,
In our compassion for ourselves,
We can have compassion for others.
We all have challenges,
We all have to respect ourselves,
And each other,
And let go the judgement.
All we are and all we can be is love,
All we have to know is to
Be our love to our self and to others.
