My wee orange car was stolen,
From the undercover carpark,
Where I manage a motel.
At 2am, I was asleep in bed.
The thief scaled the roof over the staircase,
Got on to the roof and into my apartment,
Apart from the inconvenience,
I feel violated and vulnerable.
I am on my own and fortunate nothing happened to me.
Physically I lost my car,
But there is a message, a reflection for me,
On an emotional level to understand.
With losing my car,
I have been stopped,
I feel trapped,
I am stuck,
I can’t go anywhere.
I like to be in control, as many of us do,
I take responsibility of everything and everyone,
As I always have done.
For me to let go the control and responsibility of others,
Leaves me vulnerable.
Because I fear being vulnerable,
I am violating myself.
Thus I am trapped in this cycle,
This is the reflection of having my car stolen.
What we have to understand,
There is a message in everything around us,
And within us,
Everything comes back to self.
We have to understand this,
And trust and let go.
In my need to take responsibility of others,
I am denying myself of my responsibility to me.
Hence my frustration.
I have to trust in me and let go.
It is a false illusion of control.
We can’t control anything.
So, we have to let go the control, to gain control.
An opportunity to see it for what it is,
To trust and let go.
