How do we work?
We are not a kettle or a toaster,
Or a robot,
There is no off/on switch.
So what makes us work,
Yes, we have a heart, a brain, lungs,
Blood, a skeleton,
But if you stop and think about it,
How do we exist?
Human nature is exquisite,
It is fascinating,
How we can create ourselves,
Within our own beings.
We are all born of the same way,
We all have a different perspective on life,
We are born of a similar physical appearance,
Yet we are all different.
Some of us are born and live,
Well and healthy,
Others live a life of physical ailments,
Struggle and challenges.
Some of us live a blessed and comfortable life,
A life of fortunate circumstance,
Some live a life of crime,
Destitution, corruption and abandonment.
Why is life on this earth,
So challenging and so difficult for many,
Yet we all have the same attributes,
To our human form.
We all come in different shapes and sizes,
With a different understanding of how life is,
Yet from the outside,
We are all very similar in appearance.
Living our life, in our physical reality,
We lose sight of our own being,
It is in our doing,
We use up our energy in our daily lives.
We all need our breath to exist,
So, I wonder,
If we could just be in our own energy,
Not doing, just being,
Just like the trees and nature,
With the sunlight and the rain,
Could we survive just by breathing?
